The Echols Group
bhg GRAPHIC DESIGN recently launched The Echols Group website. The Echols Group is a lobbying firm based in Mississippi and lobby’s for clients in the Mississippi State Legislature.
For The Echols Group we created new branding and marketing co-lateral including logo, letterhead, mail identity materials, tri-fold brochure, and website design/development. The emphasis for the website was to create a clean and easy to use site that The Echols Group could use for marketing their services while staying within their budget demands.

Scholastic Professional Media Power Point Templates
Scholastic Professional Media recently contacted us to create a series of InDesign templates for a marketing campaign. The InDesign templates formed the basis for Power Point marketing presentations. From there, the templates we created, were used as the design comps for CSS and html development for their online marketing component. The templates we created needed to be clean, professional, and have that Web 2.0 look and feel. In addition, we created about 15 charts for them to use within the presentation and online.

Expression Engine- Posting User Comments Inside a Post on Your index.php Page
Hey, I am proud to say we have some pretty smart and talented people around here.
We have a client, that requested to have the last comment posted to a particular post, display on the index.php page inside that post. (Confused? I am.)
Hmmm… after exploring the webs, the internets, and the Expression Engine knowledge base we came up empty (see this thread). Not that others hadn’t asked and tried, but we found no solutions. Evidently, this is an “EE” no-no, showing comments is for post perma link pages only.
Well I have news, James, one of our smart/talented developers, formulated a solution.
This will allow you to show an excerpt of the last comment in a post on the index.php page. Great job, James!
Mississippi Attorney General’s Web site
bhg just launched the web site for the Mississippi Attorney General. The site was built using Expression Engine. The site features multiple streams of dynamic content including press releases, automated event registration, a photo gallery, and alerts and so on. In addition, the entire site was set up so that additional static pages could be added easily through web logs which using custom content submission forms and a WYSIWYG editor. This allows the AGO’s webmaster to add content without creating html pages allowing pages to be created on the fly in only a fraction of the time it would normally take.
MS Troopers Web site
bhg launches re-design of Mississippi State Trooper Association Web site. The MS Trooper site is built on Wordpress. By using Wordpress as a Content Management System we were able to build a site that allows the trooper association to keep their troopers informed and up to date. There are a number of different dynamic content streams that feed onto the site including a Trooper Íhowcase that features a new trooper every month. What you can’t see? We integrated PunBB and password protected it for a forum that allows troopers to discuss the issues that are important to them.
